HOW TO INSTALL THE CEILING?
Here are the steps by which you can put the spotlights in the existing ceiling.
DECIDE UPON HOW MANY SPOTLIGHTS YOU NEED:
It is vital to keep a limited number of spotlights when installing them. Don’t install too many spotlights; otherwise, it will look messy. It is recommended to install one spotlight per square meter.
CHECK FOR JOISTS:
Before marking the place for installing the spotlights, please note where the joists in the ceiling are? You can use a stud finder to get confirmation about the joists exactly.
MARK OUT THE SPOTLIGHTS IN THE CEILING:
Once you have decided the total number of spotlights for installation, use a chalk line to evenly mark the spotlights in the ceiling. Measure the length and width of the room and mark equal distances for each line. In the end, measure all the squares to ensure that the space is equal.
MEASURE THE SPOTLIGHT SIZE:
Usually, the holes for spotlights are measured in millimeters. Take a matching hole saw and create the holes.
USE A HOLE SAW TO CREATE THE OPENING:
Take a hole saw and connect it with a cordless drill and align it in the center of the horizontal and vertical lines where you want the spotlight to be installed.
WIRE THE SPOTLIGHTS IN THE CEILING:
Once you have created all the holes, now it is time to wire them up.
FIT THE SPOTLIGHTS:
After wiring up all the spotlights now, it is time you check them. Properly check that all the spotlights are working correctly. You can use spring clips to tighten the spotlights at the plasterboard firmly.
