The wide channel accommodates high-density LED strips for significantly higher lumen output than narrower profiles, making it suitable for use as primary ambient lighting, not just accent. A clear diffuser allows individual LED positions to be visible through the cover, which looks acceptable in narrow cove profiles viewed at a distance but is noticeable and undesirable in a wide-format recessed profile used as main lighting at eye level. The anti-yellowing formulation ensures the diffuser maintains its white appearance over the LED’s lifespan — cheap PC diffusers yellow within 2–3 years, making the profile appear dirty even with the light off.

Can this profile be used in a wall as well as a ceiling?
Yes — the recessed mounting brackets support both ceiling and wall installation. For wall applications, ensure the wall structure (concrete or block) is deep enough to accommodate the 35mm profile depth plus the bracket mounting space behind it. In gypsum stud wall construction, a chase must be prepared before boarding.
