Does this light need a separate transformer?
Yes — this fixture operates at DC 12V and requires a 12V DC transformer (constant voltage LED driver) between the mains supply and the light. The transformer is sold separately. To size correctly: calculate total wattage of all lights on one transformer run (number of units × 12W) and select a transformer rated to at least 120% of this figure. Why is IP68 important for a garden spike light?
Garden spike lights are installed directly in soil — they are exposed to irrigation water, monsoon rain pooling, and seasonal waterlogging. IP67 protects against temporary immersion (30 minutes maximum). IP68 protects against indefinite submersion at a specified depth — the only rating that reliably survives Pakistan’s monsoon season soil saturation and automated drip irrigation systems. Why DC 12V instead of 220V AC for a garden light?

At 12V DC, even direct contact with a bare cable carries no electrocution risk — unlike 220V AC which is lethal on contact. What is the beam angle and can it be adjusted?

How many units do I need for my garden?
